Widow’s Mite
was begun in 2004 primarily in as a supplimental food distribution program to benefit widows over 60 years of age. This
program is a joint effort between His Lambs, founded by Betsy Keyton, and RCR. In
addition to monthly distribution of food, we provide necessary medcations, and buy wood for the winter. Usually, the pensions the widows receive are very small and there is no family support. This year, the
program was greatly expanded and we now have 29 people enrolled, spread out over eight geographical areas
in 3 counties.. With the dollar very much devalued here now and the cost of food and medicine going up every month we
are praying for more sponsors as well as another mild winter in 2007-2008.
